Muskoka is one of those places you can’t go wrong for an engagement session. It’s surrounded by so much beauty and the autumn is one of the most spectacular times to get engagement portraits done. The trees are bursting with colour and there’s so many special spots for couples who like adventure and a nice hike. A cozy autumn lakeside engagement in Washago, was the perfect end to a beautiful fall season, with two of the sweetest people.
I suggested Taylor and Brenden’s engagement session take place in Washago, because they have family close by, go there often and they are totally into the outdoors and adventure. I knew they would embrace an outdoor session rain, or shine, warm, or cold. AND boy was it COLD!
We had planned a fun little canoe down the Severn River and some exploring in Washago. The town was so romantic and bursting with charm. Antiques, cute little restaurants and coffee shops, plus the gorgeous landscapes surrounding the river. BUT Mother Nature had other plans and we quickly realized that a canoe ride was not going to happen. So we embraced the day and instead, they cuddled up in the trunk of their SUV and drank some hot chocolate. In between warm-ups, Taylor and Brenden explored their surroundings. We hung out by the water, went to the park, walked the bridge and ventured into the forest and found an old coaling tower. We even got to embrace the first snowfall. The photos turned out amazing and we all had a great time. Taylor and Brenden were theĀ epitome of relaxed, enthusiastic and adventurous. Their love was so real and I’m so honoured to have been able to capture these moments for them.
