A Charming Engagement Session in Huntsville – Chloe + Graham
Meet Chloe and Graham, two incredibly warm-hearted people who have truly gone the distance for love. They met at a party and automatically hit it off, but things got a little complicated when their first date rolled around. Graham announced that he had just been offered a job all the way in Australia. For most, this would have been the end to a short and sweet relationship, but for Chloe and Graham, it was only the beginning of their lifelong adventure. Fast forward four months later, and the couple found themselves packing up all their belongs and venturing down under to start a new life together.
But, it wasn’t all sunshine and lazy days by the beach. While Graham hustled in the outback for his engineering job, Chloe studied in Brisbane. The two spent a considerable amount of time apart to focus on their work, but they pulled through.
Graham proposed at Lake Louise in Banff, Alberta with an elaborate plan and a custom made diamond ring ready to surprise Chloe. Now, the couple lives in Calgary with plans of eventually moving back to Sudbury where they’re both from originally. They decided to fly in for their engagement session in Muskoka not far from where they ended up having their wedding.
It was an absolute joy to shoot Chloe and Graham in the charming town of Huntsville. We started the session with a stroll downtown, where we stumbled upon a quaint community garden where we spent some time smelling flowers and soaking up the warm sun. Later on, we shot some photos down by the lake with Muskoka Dockers Gin and Tonic in hand. I always bring a couple drinks that are local to Muskoka to help calm the jitters and get everyone feelin’ a little more happy and carefree for photos. It’s sort of a tradition! We ended the session reliving some Dirty Dancing moments and just hanging out together. I had such a fun time and it was incredibly low-key and comfortable.
